Home-based ministry to teenagers living in downtown Holland. Our priority is to enter into the chaos that is the life of so many of our children. This ministry can’t be easily defined into a neat model – relationships get messy. Building these meaningful relationships is the only way to have a lasting impact on these lives, so that’s what we do. We eat together, play together, create, explore, cry, pray, laugh, learn, and live together.

Founded in 1977, the Center’s mission is to respond to, reduce, and prevent domestic and sexual violence in Ottawa and Allegan counties. This mission is achieved through education, collaboration, and advocacy, with crisis and supportive services to victims and survivors.

The Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) believes that child abuse is a community problem. Past experience has taught us that no single agency can possibly meet all the needs of sexually victimized children and their families. Experience has also taught us that taking child victims from agency to agency over and over for multiple interviews, traumatizes the children and, in fact, revictimizes them. The CAC is committed to providing a coordinated, multidisciplinary team approach including Protective Services, Law Enforcement, Prosecution, Medical and Mental Health professionals. Their goal is to provide programs and support services for child victims and their families which will enable them to heal emotionally and physically

The purpose of the Community Action House is to end poverty in our community and help families prosper. Their mission is to provide area families and individuals with food, clothing, shelter, and opportunities to build necessary skills to achieve a stable and prosperous life.

Delivered through a partnership with Western Theological Seminary, the Community Kitchen provides a place to identify the needs and struggles of our most vulnerable neighbors while providing them with a free meal. A group of 6 people from FPC serve on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Escape Ministries provides a safe learning environment for 6th-9th grade students who have been suspended or expelled from learning in a traditional educational setting. Although their primary focus is academic, they also address goal setting, behavior management, career options and community service in order to prepare students to return to their original place of learning and encourage them toward future success.

Lasting change happens when we empower people to work their way out of poverty. At Good Samaritan Ministries, they are learners who study the causes of poverty and its effects on individuals, families, and our community. They use that knowledge to continually innovate new ways to accomplish their mission of ending poverty and homelessness by finding solutions. The solutions involve mobilizing faith-based and community partners, activating individual and community assets, and meeting immediate needs in the community.

Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity is a partnership home building and home repair Christian ministry serving Ottawa and part of Allegan counties. Over 150 families and 700 individuals have been served by Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity since 1990.

Holland Free Health Clinic provides free health services for uninsured and under-insured patients in Ottawa and Allegan Counties. Our programs and services are designed to help patients understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle and empower them to take control of their health.

Kids’ Food Basket is the largest organization in Michigan dedicated to attacking childhood hunger. They currently provide Sack Suppers to nearly 7,500  kids every week day during the school year at 40 different sites, plus hundreds more at local sites in the summer. The schools they serve have an average student population in which 70% or more of students receive free or reduced lunches. Kids Food Basket partners with individuals, families, businesses, food resources, nonprofits and schools to ensure that lunch is not the last meal of the day for nearly 7,500 kids.

Our MISSION is to provide a constant source of support and understanding to the LGBTQ community of the greater Holland area. We seek to create a community in which all persons are afforded equal rights and opportunities.

Our VISION is a community that welcomes all people. It is our desire that all forms of discrimination are removed in order to create a safe, open, and accepting environment for the LGBTQ community. We strive to provide the education, events and resources necessary to foster understanding, and to advocate within Holland for a community that accepts and embraces all.
