WARM IN CHURCH?

Read this and keep cool! The air conditioning in the sanctuary is on a timer, scheduled to begin cooling the sanctuary at midnight Saturday and ending at noon on Sunday. This schedule will provide a comfortable environment by 9:00 when you arrive for worship. The past several weeks, the sanctuary was warm due to two situations. First, well meaning, but unidentified members have changed the settings on the thermostats which have been carefully programmed for our cooling comfort.
Second, the doors in the sanctuary are being left open during the service. The narthex area is not air-conditioned so the result is a warming of the sanctuary and a cooling of the narthex. Thom Samuelson and your pastor urge all of you to, first, resist the temptation to touch the thermostat and, second, keep the sanctuary doors closed. Thank you!

Meet Matt!

The APNC is eager for you to meet our associate pastor candidate, Matt Webber at an ice cream social Friday June 30 from 4:30-6:30pm. This is a great opportunity to greet Matt and get to know him prior to his preaching Sunday July 2nd. See you there!
Befrienders Leadership Team

Pastor Linda, Joy Oyler and Lynn Wildt have been actively working to bring this program to a congregation near you! Lynn completed initial training in May. Joy has been conducting interviews for Befriender candidates and is now in the second interview process. Linda, Joy and Lynn have met several times to discuss when congregational training will begin. We have set tentative dates for mid-July. Watch for updates in the weekly bulletin and on the web page for final training dates. We are all excited about this program and the benefits it will provide for the congregation. May God bless you.
NEW WOMEN’S GROUP

It is with great joy and excitement that we request your presence at a Congregational Meeting on July 2, 2006, for the purpose of voting to call Matthew John Webber as our new Associate Pastor! Matt will be preaching that day, and the Congregational Meeting will take place immediately following the service.
