Once again, each meeting with the First Presbyterian Church Youth groups continues to be a fun-filled and exciting learning experience. First off, the Mid-High Youth will be hosting a Bake Sale during fellowship time on Sunday the 8th of October. The money raised will go to help the “Hope Fund” which is used to provide medical care for rescued animals at the Humanize Society. This is only the first of what we hope will turn out to be many chances to help the Humane Society for this particular group as they have all expressed a desire to help and care for the animals of God’s creation.

We will be receiving our Peacemaking Offering on October 1 which is also World Communion Sunday. The Peacemaking Offering provides ways for Presbyterians to promote peace at the local, national, and international level. Last year, this offering supported programs such as:
• The itineration of 14 International Peacemakers, International church leaders who share their ministry in peacemaking with churches across the country.
• Antiracism training
• Young Adults travel/study seminars to Colombia and Russia
• Seminars for groups from churches, seminaries, and colleges at the PresbyterianUnited Nations Office.
Please give generously to the Peacemaking Offering.
