MEMBERS—nearing 65 or older—the Session would like your input on anything additional or different the church could be doing for you. If you have not received an invitation to coffee to discuss this please call Vicki at the church office 392-9022. We hope we didn’t miss anyone with the invitations but please let us know if we did.

ON SUNDAY, JUNE 17, following the service, we will have an opportunity to hear about Abraham Nkhata’s plans and hopes for what the church can do in Zambia to improve the lives of HIV/AIDS persons. This is his thesis topic for his master’s degree which he has been working on at Western Seminary this year. Plan to grab a cup of coffee at the café and join us in the Adult Education room for an interesting description of Abraham’s work.

We have the opportunity to welcome the children of seasonal workers in our community. Every Wednesday evening from 7 to 8 pm three people from our church go to the camp on Quincy Street and read to the children there. The kids really look forward to our coming, and we have been blessed to know them. We begin on June 13 and continue on Wednesdays through August 22. There is more information and a sign-up sheet on the Outreach bulletin board. Young people as well as older adults are always welcomed. If you have questions, please call Linda Pynnonen (399-1761) of Elsie Bergstrom (399-2318).

The new family we have adopted needs our help to do yard work. She is a Mom with 6 children under the age of six, she works third shift at Johnson Controls and is really worthy of all the support we can give her. The home is on 21st Street, very near the church. It would basically just be for lawn mowing maybe once a week.
Please contact Marilyn Lynn at 399-0799 or Terri Borgman at 616-218-8586.
