The men’s book club meets September 8th at 7:00 pm. The book is Stumbling on Happiness by Daniel Gilbert.
The Adult Bible study will resume this fall on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 9:45 (between services hour) in Room #1. Our theme will be the book of Genesis, a study of the call of God to Abraham and his offspring, the Jacob narratives, and the Joseph saga as it leads to the Egyptian empire. The period often called “pre-history” in the first ten chapters will be the starting point: the Creation; Cain & Abel, the Flood and then the new Creation when the waters subsided and concluding with Israel in Egypt. These stories have been oft repeated but it is not always easy to see what they have to say to us in the 21st century. Come with your questions and your insights. Ned Pierson, class leader

Sunday September 7 at the Presbyterian Camp in Saugatuck. Eat around 1pm, $5 for adults, $3 for children – donation.
Beach will be open weather permitting – lifeguard available.
August 30 at 9:00 am. Friends please join us for our 2nd work day this year to help spruce up our church facility and grounds. We will be focusing on exterior painting but other grounds work opportunities will be available as well. A light lunch will be served around noon. A signup sheet is in the narthex or email Ann Meengs if you plan to join us. We need to divide some of the daylilies. If you would like any of the various types, let Shirley Weersing know if you can dig them yourself or which ones you want so we can save them.
