CHILDREN IN WORSHIP

Posted July 29th, 2009 by KO No Comments »

The Children in Worship Program is seeking people willing to teach and assist in the classrooms on Sunday mornings beginning this fall. We strive for four teachers in each classroom so the monthly commitment would be to present the story once and be present for classroom assistance another week. Scheduling is done within the classrooms to provide flexibility. We are seeking one person for the pre-school room and two in the Kindergarten/1st Grade classroom. If you are willing to share some time and love with our children please call Lori Klinesteker at 392-1102. Training is provided.

RECYCLING

Posted July 17th, 2009 by KO No Comments »

You may have noticed a “boatload” of styrofoam piled in the corner near the entryway on Sunday.  This is the result of several weeks of collections.  It was staged there so that Deb and Cary Schutmaat could load it up for transport to Hamilton.  Thanks to them.

When you see a pile like that you are reminded of how much space in landfills is protected by our recycling efforts.  Thanks to all of you.

Remember that an area waste electronics collection day is planned for mid-August.  Hold on to that stuff.
