Flood Reliefe Task Force

               Holland

The Flood Relief Task Force has been formed to aid low-income families suffering from damage due to the June flood.
 
  • Presentations on “Safe Flood Clean-Up” at 3, 5, and 7 PM
  • Needs assessments will be conducted for residents meeting the following criteria:
    • Homeowner of Property
    • No Flood Insurance
    • Located in Zip Code 49423 or 49424
    • Household income at or below 50% median area income

The event is free and open to the public.  No registration is required.

The Red Cross is also looking for volunteer child care workers to help with this event.  Volunteers are needed for three-hour shifts at 2 PM and 5 PM.  Please contact Gerry at 616.392.6545 if you’re interested in volunteering.

There is solid evidence that these drugs negatively affect fish and may yet prove that they affect people.  The Holland BPW and Ottawa County Health Department are co-sponsoring a collection day on Saturday, September 26 from 9:00 to noon.  Location is 12251 James Street just east of US 31 (Health Dept Facility).  Expired or unwanted meds, old vitamins, medicated ointments, inhalers, and vet meds may be dropped off.

Children’s Choir

Children’s Choir starts Sunday September 20th.

* All 3 year olds – 5th graders are welcome
* Meet at 9 AM (or after children’s message at 1st service)
* We will all be gathering in the fellowship hall in the basement
* We will send the children to Children In Worship at 9:40.

We are finalizing a schedule for dates to sing in church and for the Christmas program. We will send those out in the next few weeks.

NURSERY HELPERS NEEDED
