People are encouraged to give a certain amount for each year of their lives as a gift to these missions. Two projects were chosen this year. Details about the Kindergarten and Childcare Center in Kirkuk, Iraq, and the Presbyterian community outreach program for at-risk children and families in Louisville, Kentucky are in the June issue of Profiles.
The yellow envelope in Profiles is to be used for this gift, and will be received during the summer.

Join members of First Presbyterian Church and The Rev. Linda Knieriemen and their family and friends for an exciting journey to modern Turkey – a land rich in historical and cultural heritage. This part of the world was the focus of much of Paul’s early missionary work and witnessed the rise of some of the most important early Christian communities – in places such as Antioch, Ephesus, Sardis and Pergamon.
Our program combines visits to historical archaeological sites making it possible for us to explore the world of early Christianity and the context of much of Paul’s missionary journeys with visits to places important for understanding the Ottoman Empire, Islam and contemporary Turkish culture.
